Nutritional Counseling and Supplements
Nutrition and Lifestyle form the foundation of good health; therefore simple changes made in these areas have the capacity to drastically re-vitalize your life.  Supplements are also used therapeutically to effectively prevent and treat illnesses.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture originated in China over 2000 years ago and has now been integrated as an important modality in Naturopathic Medicine.  It has been shown to be effective in treating pain, anxiety, insomnia, PMS, fertility problems, smoking and addictions as well as numerous digestive, circulatory and respiratory problems.

Herbal Medicine
Herbal Medicine is an ancient modality that uses the healing power of plants to treat a variety of complaints and diseases.  Tinctures, dried herbs and capsules containing high grade herbs or herbal extracts effectively establish, maintain and restore health.

Bowen Therapy
Bowen therapy is a gentle and non-invasive physical medicine that acts on the nervous system by stimulating various muscles in the body.  It effectively supports treatment of most musculo-skeletal pain or injury as well as many other conditions such as infertility, constipation/diarrhea, headaches, etc.  It helps manage stress and is very relaxing.

Please note that I no longer work at the Elements Wellness Centre location.  I am available at Inlet Wellness Gallery.

Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a 200 year old medicine that does not interfere with natural or pharmaceutical medications.  It uses small doses of substances which are carefully selected according to each individual case to stimulate the body’s own systems to heal the body, mind and spirit.

Counseling and Mind-Body Medicine
Physical conditions impact our emotional experiences and vice versa.  Stress hormones can affect all of our biological systems therefore maintaining good health means managing stress and processing un-resolved emotions.  Breathing techniques, esoteric acupuncture, constitutional homeopathy counseling and yoga are some of the approaches I use.

Detoxification
With so many environmental toxins in our world today in the foods we eat, in cleaning solutions, in pesticides etc, it is important to reduce the body’s toxic burden and to facilitate drainage.  You can expect to use a combination of therapies which commonly include dietary modifications and vitamins and supplements.

Immune Boosting Injections and Vitamin Injections
Using this treatment, vitamins and immune boosting remedies bypass the sometimes inefficient absorption of the digestive system.  This is especially useful in treating conditions such as colds and the flu, chronic fatigue, chronic digestive problems and stress.

Immune Boosting Injection: Homeopathic immune support plus B12

MIC Injections: Methionine, Inositol and Choline (MIC) are amino acids that help the body release stored fat. Regular MIC injections are useful for treating cholesterol dysregulation, fatty liver disease and as an add-on to any weight loss program.  MIC injections are most effective when used in addition to an individualized health plan.

Glutathione IV: Glutathione is the master antioxidant and has been shown to be helpful in treating poor egg/sperm quality, fatty liver disease, type 2 diabetes, detoxification and more.

Pharmaceutical Prescription
Naturopathic Doctors have had Pharmacy Prescription rights since 2010 and may prescribe within a scope that is similar to that of a Western Medical Family Doctor. Naturopathic Doctors are in the unique position of having the education and experience that allows them prescribe both natural and western remedies, and therefore are able to offer all the appropriate treatment options for each case.

Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy
Bio Identical hormones are plant based hormones that have the same molecular structure as those that your body makes. Because they are identical to hormones found in the body and are custom-dosed to the needs of each patient, adverse side effects and risks are significantly reduced when compared to the use of synthetic hormones.
