I was born and raised in Victoria, BC and have always had an interest in healthcare. When I was 17 years old my father passed away after a year-long battle with cancer. He spent the last week of his life in Hospice where he and my family received attentive and loving care from the staff. This was when I realized that health is so much more than just the absence of disease.
After completing my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, I considered a career as a midwife and joined a medical team in Guatemala. It was there that I was captivated by Naturopathic medicine and decided that this was my calling.
I am fortunate to have had a clinic rotation in Victoria BC at the Family Medicine Clinic (FMC). There we provided free Naturopathic Medical care to young families living at or below the poverty line. This formative experience gave me the opportunity to work closely with families from different backgrounds and with children of all ages.
I am currently a member of the Quality Assurance Committee of the CNPBC and a guest instructor at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. I offer Community and Corporate Health and Wellness Programs and Talks to various local businesses.
I truly believe in the innate healing power of the body and in the art and science of Naturopathic Medicine. I look forward to guiding you on your healing journey.
